Most comic book guests do not charge for autographs, but it’s always wise to ask first.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT SHERYL LEE (posted Friday at 8:00pm – November 16th) – We have some sad news, and our sincere apologies this is coming in so late in the game. Sheryl Lee was evacuated from her home in California due to the fires there, and despite repeated attempts today and this evening to communicate with her to see if we could salvage her appearance this weekend, neither we or her agents have received any response. This may be the result of cel towers downed because of the fires, but until she’s able to call we have no real way to know. We moved her ticket to a later flight in hopes it would give enough time to find something out, but at this point it’s not looking good. Right now our thoughts and prayers are with Sheryl in this difficult time, and we’ll be taking donations at the show to help her rebuild. With any luck we’ll have her at our next event, as we know if at all possible she wouldn’t want to miss seeing her Dallas fans. Anyone who purchased a photo op with Sheryl will receive a refund, and if you wish to purchase a group op with Ray Wise, or Ray Wise and Harry Goaz, you still have that option. Please keep her in your thoughts tonight, and for information on donations, please see our registration booth where tickets are sold.
SPECIAL LAST MINUTE ADDITION! – she’s voiced Miss Merry Christmas in One Piece, Mukuro in YU YU HAKUSHO: GHOST FILES, and Gi-Gan in YONA OF THE DAWN, but is perhaps best known as “Envy” in FULL METAL ALCHEMIST… as a special bonus addition, we welcome the wonderful Wendy Powell to our guest list! Wendy will be signing and meeting fans on SATURDAY ONLY at Dallas Comic Show’s Holiday Special. She joins our exciting #Anime guests Jason Douglas, Monica Rial, Jamie Marchi, and Cynthia Cranz… just one of the many awesome aspects of this show.
We also want to thank the fine folks at Funimation, one of our sponsors, who are providing lanyards for all badge holders, and supplying awesome prizes for our costume contest Saturday at 5pm. And special thanks also goes out to Alamo Drafthouse DFW for being our sponsor again for this event. We’ve named our Q&A room the “Alamo Drafthouse Q&A Chamber” in honor of their involvement. Look for info on our specialty screenings at their Richardson location – Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.
