Meet the voice of Disney’s BAMBI (80th Anniversary!) and star of SON OF FRANKENSTEIN, the legendary Donnie Dunagan at DCS April 23-24, 2022!

This year marks the 80th Anniversary of the Walt Disney animated classic BAMBI, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome a very special guest to DALLAS COMIC SHOW’s Spring Spectacular this April 23-24, 2022. Donnie Dunagan started his acting career in 1938 alongside Walter Brennan and Anne Shirley in the movie MOTHER CAREY’S CHICKENS, followed in 1939 by SON OF FRANKENSTEIN with Basil Rathbone, Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi, and eventually TOWER OF LONDON with Basil Rathbone, Vincent Price and Boris Karloff. Then in 1942, he provided the voice of the lovable Disney character “Bambi”, a role he actually kept secret for most of his adult life. Why, you ask? Donnie was the youngest U.S. Marine drill instructor, serving three tours in Vietnam where his was wounded several times. He retired as a Major in 1977, but eventually came to embrace his now legendary role. This is a rare opportunity to meet a true Hollywood great, so don’t miss your chance to meet Donnie in person at the show! Donnie is appearing both days of the event.
