THE WALKING DEAD, PREACHER and DRAGON BALL SUPER’s Jason Douglas hits DCS Nov 17-18
For the past four seasons you’ve seen him as “Tobin” on THE WALKING DEAD, a love interest for Carol who was one of the more pure souls in the diverse cast of characters. You may also know him as “Satan” on AMC’s popular series PREACHER, based on the hit Vertigo comic books. Video gamers know him as the voice of “Krieg” in the popular video game BORDERLANDS 2, joining fellow DCS guest Jamie Marchi, and he voiced Cpt. Jeremy Cruz in ALIENS: COLONIAL MARINES with fellow DCS guest Michael Biehn. But Anime fans know him well as the voice of “Beerus” in DRAGON BALL SUPER, which is one of many memorable voices he’s provided in some of the most popular Anime titles. We’re honored to have the wonderful Jason Douglas join us at the show!
Jason has provided voices in Anime movie and TV titles (going all the way back to the 90s!) like Super Dimensional Fortress Macross, Saint Seiya, Street Fighter II: V (as “Ken”), Gasaraki, Steel Angel Kurumi, Excel Saga, Super GALS!, Full Metal Panic!, RahXephon, Divergence Eve, D.N. Angel, Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu, Appleseed, Cromartie High School, Chrono Crusade, Mezzo DSA, Kaleido Star, Gravion Zwei, Moon Phase, Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor, Air Gear, Rosario + Vampire, Soul Eater, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Black Butler II, One Piece Film Z, Ghost in the Shell Arise, Attack on Titan Crimson Bow and Arrow, Fairy Tail (as “Gildarts”), Lord Marksman and Vanadis, Parasyte: The Maxim, Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie, Himouto! Umaruchan, Attack on Titan: Junior High, RWBY, Attack on Titan, and will soon be heard once more as Beerus in DRAGON BALL SUPER: BROLY.
Douglas has starred in films like SIN CITY, A SCANNER DARKLY, NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, PLANET TERROR, MACHETE, HOUSTON, SNITCH, PARKLAND, and JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK (in the rather memorable opening scene of the film), and on TV shows like DALLAS, BREAKING BAD, REVOLUTION, STAR-CROSSED, FROM DUSK TILL DAWN: THE SERIES, and NASHVILLE. Oh, and did you hear him voicing Orson Krennic in the STAR WARS: GO ROGUE shorts? Whew! This guy has been in everything! We’re very excited to have Jason Douglas make a special appearance with us at Dallas Comic Show’s Holiday Special this November 17-18!
Please note, on Saturday, Jason will be appearing from show open until 12:30pm, he has an off-site engagement from 12:30pm untl 3:30pm, then he’ll be back for the remainder of Saturday, and back on Sunday all day. Just make sure to note he will be gone during the hours mentioned on Saturday, so you can know when to plan meeting him that day.
