ARCHIE, LADY DEATH, SILVER SABLE and WEB OF SPIDER-MAN artist Steven Butler hits DCS April 29-30, 2023!

A 330year veteran of the comic book industry, he’s known for his art on ARCHIE (various titles), BADGER, BETTY & VERONICA, LADY DEATH, NIGHTWATCH, PUNISHER WAR JOURNAL, SILVER SABLE AND THE WILD PACK, SILVER STORM, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, ULTRAFORCE, WEB OF SCARLET SPIDER, WEB OF SPIDER-MAN, X-MEN and so much more… he first joined us in 2019 which was his first time in Dallas since 1991, and again in 2021, and he was such a big hit both times we couldn’t wait to get him back! We’re extremely excited to have the talented Steven Butler join us for DALLAS COMIC SHOW’s “Spring Spectacular” this April 29-30, 2023 at The Vista Mall (formerly Music City Mall) in Lewisville! In 2007, Mr. Butler created new designs for Archie characters for the comics, and has also been involved in several Christian comics projects. From 1999 to 2007, Steven worked on the POWERMARK comic series from Powermark Productions. In 1999 he also illustrated 3 tracts for wrestler George South entitled “The Greatest Match Ever”, “Who is Your Tag-Team Partner?”, and “Who Are You Wrestling Against?”, packaged by The Nate Butler Studio and published by PowerMark Productions. In 2005 he penciled the WELCOME TO HOLSOM series published by Radiant Life (Gospel Publishing House). Recently, Steven has been providing special limited edition variant covers for Brian Pulido’s LADY DEATH and Coffin Comics, and you may have seen his special variant cover for SUPERMAN: SON OF KAL-EL #17 from DC Comics. Currently, Steven is teaming up with his daughter Lily Butler to work for Archie Comics again on their digest series featuring stories of the Archie gang interacting with their own set of superheroes. Of all of his accomplishments in the comics industry over the years, getting to work alongside his own daughter is by far the greatest.
