Hugo Award-winning Underground artist Brad W. Foster (OUR STORY THUS FAR, SHADOWHAWK) hits DCS June 26th!
The world of “Underground” comics isn’t always represented on the Comic Con circuit these days, and because of that we’re happy add the great Brad W. Foster to our growing guest list for DALLAS COMIC SHOW’s Saturday Special this June 26th. Brad is the recipient of the prestigious Hugo Award several times over now thanks to his impressive contributions to the world of comic fandom. He’s illustrated books like FILE 770, FISSION CHICKEN, SLAM BANG, MECHTHINGS, THE ADVENTURES OF OLIVIA, and more. From 1987 to 1991 he was a regular contributing illustrator to the science fiction magazine AMAZING STORIES, and in 2008 he began producing illustrations for the newsletter “Ansible”, published by British author David Langford, creating a full color version for the online edition, and a different black-and-white version for the print edition. Since 2010 he has written and drawn the monthly cartoon “The Funny Business of Art” for Sunshine Artist magazine. His work on the Carole Nelson Douglas’ feline detective Midnight Louie book SOMETHING FISHY won a “Muse Medallion” from the Cat Writers’ Association. Brad has also done work in mainstream comics on books like ALTERED IMAGE, NORMALMAN / MEGATON MAN SPECIAL, and Jim Valentino’s SHADOWHAWK starting with SHADOWHAWK II #1 and on. Be sure to top by his table and check out his impressive work.
