THE FLASH and DAWSON’S CREEK star John Wesley Shipp comes to DALLAS COMIC SHOW February 19-20, 2022!
The Fastest Man Alive is coming to Dallas Comic Show on February 19-20, 2022. Help us welcome our buddy actor John Wesley Shipp back to Texas, hot off the heels from his incredible performances on CW’s hit series THE FLASH and most recently STARGIRL. John originally rose to fame in the Soap Opera world playing “Kelly Nelson” on GUIDING LIGHT, then “Doug Cummings” on AS THE WORLD TURNS as well as “Martin Ellis” on SANTA BARBARA. In 1990 he starred in THE NEVERENDING STORY II: THE NEXT CHAPTER, but also took the lead in the television series THE FLASH based on the popular DC Comics character. Despite that series only lasting one season, it made a big impression on comic book fans, and is still adored to this day – in many ways it was ahead of its time. Shipp has appeared on shows like NYPD BLUE, SISTERS, PALMETTO POINTE, JAG and TEEN WOLF. One of his more famous TV roles was that of “Mitch Leery” on DAWSON’S CREEK. In 2010 John briefly returned to the Flash world by voicing Professor Zoom in BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD, but that was just an appetizer for his brilliant integration in CW’s THE FLASH where he played Barry Allen’s father “Henry Allen”, and was later revealed as “Jay Garrick” aka The Flash of Earth 3…
Shipp even revisited playing a version of Barry Allen even sporting his classic Flash costume in the “Crisis” storyline, which had him appearing not only on THE FLASH, but also ARROW and SUPERGIRL. His most recent appearance on STARGIRL helped beautifully bring to life the Justice Society of America (or JSA). Not many actors get the chance to play an iconic superhero in multiple incarnations like this, so he’s got a really unique feather in his cap. Let’s give the once and future Scarlet Speedster an enthusiastic Dallas welcome!
