THE LAST DRAGON martial arts legend Taimak comes to DCS
You loved him in Berry Gordy’s THE LAST DRAGON, now meet the man in person when the legendary Taimak comes to Dallas Comic Show on April 23-24, 2016. He hit the scene in 1985 starring as Leroy Green (aka “Bruce Leroy”) in the fan-favorite film, which just celebrated its 30th Anniversary last year. In the years that followed Taimak appeared on TV shows like A DIFFERENT WORLD and BEVERLY HILLS 90210, and movies like NO MORE DIRTY DEALS and THEY’RE JUST MY FRIENDS. He’ll soon be seen in ENTER THE FIST AND THE GOLDEN FLEECING with THE LAST DRAGON co-star Ernie Reyes Jr., who will also be at the show. Taimak has studied Chinese Goju under martial arts legend and fight choreographer Ron Van Clief, and has also worked with Goju-Ryu, Jeet Kune Do, Tae Kwon Do, Wing Chun, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Hapkido. He’s been a martial arts trainer to the stars, including Madonna, and worked as a corner-man and an official in the early days of the The Ultimate Fighting Championship. Please welcome Taimak to his very first Dallas convention! Stay tuned for information about a special movie screening too.
